Grammar Rule (British council)
Examples
I like chocolate.
They like the zoo.
We like vegetables.
Remember!
Add an 's' for she, he and it.
She likes apples.
He likes the park.
It likes warm water.
Be careful!
For negatives add ‘don’t’ or ‘doesn’t’.
I don’t like chocolate.
He doesn’t like the zoo.
They don’t like vegetables.
We say... We don’t say...
Do you like bananas? (NOT You like bananas?)
Does he like the beach? (NOT You like the beach?)
Do they like courgettes? (NOT You like courgettes?)
(When asking a normal question we say Do you like + noun? but for showing surprise you can say You like + noun?)
